Interim compliance support for financial institutions.
Interim compliance support in five situations where we step in straight away — as interim CRO, Compliance Officer, risk manager or project resource. We settle in quickly, deliver from the start and hand over properly.
At a PSP, investment firm or other financial undertaking. An interim CRO role is subject to approval by the supervisory authority.
Programmes with a defined scope — a PSD3 re-authorisation track, DORA implementation, governance redesign, MiCAR/CASP implementation or a compliance risk framework. From planning to delivery.
During an investigation by DNB or the AFM, or simply when extra capacity and experience are needed.
Between the departure and the recruitment of a permanent compliance officer — continuity assured.
For large programmes on the Wwft (Dutch AML Act), transaction monitoring or governance.
Three ways to engage, one dedicated point of contact.
In interim roles we can take over correspondence with DNB and the AFM — from routine reporting to complex enforcement matters.
Four or five days a week, usually 3-12 months. Full responsibility for the role.
One to three days a week for longer-term support to the board, the compliance function, or as a sounding board alongside a junior compliance officer.
Defined scope, fixed price. For specific projects with a clear end result.
What clients want to know upfront.
Are you registered as a statutory director in an interim role?
Yes — if the fitness and propriety assessments are completed successfully, we are registered as a statutory director. This is of course subject to approval by DNB or the AFM.
What if the assignment runs over?
The scope is always clearly defined, with a transparent hourly rate for additional work. We do not push for extensions.
How quickly can interim compliance support start?
Usually within one to two weeks — contact us to check availability.
Does this sound familiar?
Your compliance officer is leaving at short notice, or the licence requires the role to be filled while a permanent successor is not yet in place. We can step in on an interim basis within two to three weeks — keeping regulatory correspondence and current policy in the same hands.
A DNB supervisory visit, an external audit or a specific project (DORA, an AML overhaul, a licence extension) puts heavy pressure on the existing compliance team. We reinforce for the duration — three to six months — so that routine tasks do not stall.
DORA implementation, rewriting an AML procedure, a governance update, an ICT third-party risk register — work with a clear beginning and end. We deliver this as a project rather than an interim role, with a fixed scope and defined deliverables.
